The Oregon East Symphony's 2022-2023 Concert Season comes to a heroic conclusion with A Hero's Life at 7:30pm, on Saturday, June 10th, 2023 at the Vert Auditorium (480 SW Dorion Ave, Pendleton, OR). A Hero's Life will feature a performance of Richard Strauss's massive tone poem Ein Heldenleben. Ein Heldenleben chronicles a hero's struggle between the individual and his outer and inner worlds, and the profundity of domestic love. Under the direction of Maestro Beau Benson it will highlight virtuosic performances by the stellar musicians of the symphony.
Also to be performed is American composer Quinn Mason's "Inspiration! - Festive Overture", a piece that is dedicated to the power of inspiration, and the will to inspire. This performance will be the Pacific Northwest premier of this exciting new work by one of America's up-and-coming composers.
This concert is made possible with support from the Pendleton Foundation Trust, PFLAG Pendleton, Tom & Patricia Winn, Harriet Isom, Blue Mountain Community Foundation, Pacific Power Foundation, and the Roundhouse Foundation.
