The Oregon East Symphony and Chorale would like to invite you to join us for a choral concert in April, 2012.  We will be presenting the Easter portion (Parts 2 and 3) of Handel’s Messiah, accompanied by the OES Chamber orchestra.  We will be collaborating once again with the Latter Day Saints’ Choir (Pendleton) and the Mid-Columbia Master Singers (Richland) after a successful Christmas concert in 2010.

All community singers in the Pendleton and Hermiston regional areas are invited to sing.  There is no audition required.  Singers are asked to commit to not missing more than two rehearsals if possible.

Early rehearsals will be conducted by Justin Raffa, Director of the Mid-Columbia Master Singers.  New OES Music Director Anthony Spain will conduct the final rehearsals and concert.  Dr. Spain is very excited to work

with our community vocalists and has significant experience in conducting and training choirs from around the world.  This performance of the Messiah will be sung in a true baroque style and will be a rewarding vocal learning experience for all participants.
