Beau Benson received his Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Orchestral Conducting at Michigan State University. He received his Masters degree in Orchestral Conducting from Southern Methodist University, where he also earned bachelors degrees in classical guitar performance and music education. He currently lives in Waco, Tx with his wife Amy and their daughter Loïe.
Mr. Walker holds baccalaureate degrees in Music Education and Cello Performance from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and a master degrees in Performance studying Orchestral Conducting and Cello Performance from Central Washington University. His primary teachers have been Kangho Lee and John Michel (cello) and Dr. Jeffery Meyer, Michael Jinbo, Dr. Nikolas Caoile, Kenneth Woods, and Lawrence Golan (conducting). When not on the podium, he can be found enjoying time outside around his BBQ pit and smoker and having people sample his new creations.
Steve Muller is a retired music teacher from Pendleton. He has a Master’s degree in Music from the University of Oregon (emphasis in conducting and bass trombone) and bachelor’s degrees from Eastern Oregon University in Music and Secondary Education. Steve spent 37 years as a player and then director of the Happy Canyon Pit Orchestra, and has regularly played trombone with OES since its beginning. He has also performed regularly as a vocalist with the Pendleton Men’s Chorus, Consort Columbia, BMCC community theater musicals, and as a soloist with OES. Steve retired from the Pendleton School District in 2010 after teaching Band, Choir, and Elementary Music. He is currently the Chancel Choir Director at the Pendleton Presbyterian church.
