The Mission of the Oregon East Symphony is to operate, support, and maintain a symphony orchestra in Eastern Oregon, and thereby to enhance the quality of life in the region by providing to the population of this rural area a dependable source of live orchestral and choral music, with special emphasis on youth educational opportunities.

The Oregon East Symphony is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization established in 1986.

2011-2012 Season Information

Welcome to our 26th Season of Music at the Vert Auditorium. 

This year we welcome our new Music Director and Conductor Anthony Spain to the podium, for a series of exciting concerts
themed around the land we love.  We hope that you will join us for a wonderful feast of classical music, community talent, new compositions and a choral celebration.  All concerts will take place at the Vert Auditorium, 480 SW Dorion Avenue in Pendleton Oregon.  Click here to get your tickets today  Ticket and Membership Information.

The Children's Museum of Eastern Oregon will be providing a "Night at the Museum" for our youngest patrons, over three, who also want to go out for the evening.  20 places are available for Symphony Care for your little ones from 5 to 10 pm and includes dinner.  Please call the Symphony Office for more details and to reserve your spot (there is a fee for this service).

Chamber music lovers will delight in this wonderful selection of favorites from our conductors collection.
Featuring Bach's Brandenburg Concerto #1, Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring, Vivaldi, Concerto for Violin and Oboe by Bach,
Handel's Concerto Grosso, Opus 3, #2  

Join us at 6 pm in the Vert Club Room to meet our musicians, partake in some tasting of local wines and enjoy the buxom young Baroque waitresses.

The concert will be followed by a reception featuring locally made brews
courtesy of the Prodigal Son and hors d'ouvres.

A Tribute to Pendleton

Saturday March 3 at 7:30 pm
We loved Audrey Marier's "Lark Ascending" with animation so much last season, we have invited her back for an encore violin concerto. 
We will also have a surprise composition from a local composer to whet your appetite for more. 
Brahms Symphony #4 will fill the hall with a wondrous sound to round out the evening.


Celebrate Eastern Oregon
Saturday April 14 at 7:30 pm 
The Oregon East Symphony Chorale and Orchestra will be joined in chorus by the Latter Day Saints Church Choir and the Mid-Columbia Mastersingers to celebrate the miracle of Easter. 
Join us for a shower of choral blessings as we present Handel's Messiah - Parts 2 and 3, the Easter Story.
