Let 'er Pluck Rodeo Saturday October 8 at 7:30 pm Hot on the heels of the Roundup, join us for an evening celebrating the spirit of the American Rodeo. We will also have a surprise composition from a local composer to whet your appetite for more. Featuring Aaron Copland's Rodeo - Four Dance Episodes, The Roman Carnival Overture ,by Hector Berlioz, The Light Cavalry Overture by Franz Suppe and Polovstian Dances by Alexander Borodin Holiday Music Festival Saturday December 10 at 7:00 pm in the Vert Celebrate the holy season with the best of our Community Musical Ensembles. Featuring the Echumenical Bells, Sisters in Song Women's Choir, the A Sharp Players, Children's Choir and more........ Tickets will be $15 for adults, $5 for students 13-18 and free for those under 12. Open seating with advance purchase Bach, Baroque and Brews Saturday February 4 at 7:30 pm Chamber music lovers will delight in this wonderful selection of favorites from our conductors collection. Featuring Bach's Brandenburg Concerto #1, Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring, Vivaldi, Concerto for Violin and Oboe by Bach, Handel's Concerto Grosso, Opus 3, #2 and L'estro Armonico #10 by Vivaldi. The concert will be followed by a reception featuring locally made brews and hors d'ouvres. A Tribute to Pendleton Saturday March 3 at 7:30 pm We loved Audrey Marier's "Lark Ascending" with animation so much last season, we have invited her back for an encore violin concerto. Brahms Symphony #4 will fill the hall with a wondrous sound to round out the evening. Celebrate Eastern Oregon Saturday April 14 at 7:30 pm The Oregon East Symphony Chorale and Orchestra will be joined in chorus by the Latter Day Saints Church Choir to celebrate the miracle of Easter. The Mission of the Oregon East Symphony is to operate, support, and maintain a symphony orchestra in Eastern Oregon, and thereby to enhance the quality of life in the region by providing to the population of this rural area a dependable source of live orchestral and choral music, with special emphasis on youth educational opportunities.
